Mobile Clinic

PAMF Mobile Clinic

Available through Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) to employers in Silicon Valley and nearby areas, the PAMF Mobile Clinic brings primary care, annual physicals, lab tests and wellness services to your door. The PAMF Mobile Clinic saves time and makes access to care more convenient.

 

Our medical team can also work with your company’s on-site trainers and nutritionists to develop a comprehensive plan to optimize your employees’ health. We can also partner with you on wellness programs and biometric screening events.

Mobile Clinic Services

  • The Mobile Clinic’s Nurse Practitioner provides care for common health issues, such as colds, back pain, headache and skin concerns. Patients can also receive follow-up care for chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Patients will be referred to a specialist when needed.

    Returning patients can also receive stand-alone vaccine or lab services. (A returning patient is anyone that has had one or more visits with the primary healthcare provider onboard the Mobile Clinic.)

  • The Mobile Clinic’s Nurse Practitioner can perform head-to-toe physical exams as well as age-appropriate screenings, including pap smears and prostate exams. You can be referred to a PAMF clinic near work or home for more complex screenings, such as a mammogram or colonoscopy.

  • Any standard lab test can be done in the Mobile Clinic. This includes tests for blood pressure, body mass index, cholesterol levels, diabetes, kidney function, liver function and thyroid function. We also offer pregnancy tests for women, and PSA tests for men at risk of prostate cancer. When your results are ready, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss the findings.

    Stand-alone testing services are only available for returning patients.

  • The Mobile Clinic’s Nurse Practitioner provides treatment and counseling for people with sleep problems, fatigue and stress. We also offer weight management advice.

  • We provide immunizations for the flu, hepatitis A or B, pneumonia, shingles, tetanus, and whooping cough (pertussis).

    Stand-alone vaccination services are only available for returning patients.

  • Yes, the Mobile Clinic is wheelchair accessible.

  • Contact your human resources benefits team to find out whether you can use PAMF’s mobile medical services.

  • The Mobile Clinic can do lab work for patients whose PAMF doctor has requested the lab. Currently, we don’t accept lab requests from doctors outside PAMF. For further questions regarding labs, please stop by the Mobile Clinic at your workplace. To obtain a lab test, schedule an appointment for the Mobile Clinic or any other PAMF clinic.

  • Check with your human resources benefits team to learn whether your adult dependents can see a doctor in our Mobile Clinic. We are unable to care for pediatric patients at this time.

  • Our Mobile Clinic appointments are about the same length as a usual visit to your primary care doctor: 20 minutes for a basic health issue or 40 minutes for an annual physical.

  • Yes, our Mobile Clinic doctors and nurses have access to your electronic health record. All treatments, immunizations and lab tests you receive in the Mobile Clinic will be documented in your electronic health record.

  • To schedule an appointment, please refer to your employer specific mobile page or call (650) 853-6798 to speak with our mobile receptionist. Same-day appointments can be made online, by phone at (650) 853-6798 or in-person at the Mobile Clinic.

  • A Mobile Clinic medical visit costs the same as a regular PAMF office visit and will be billed to your insurance in the same way. Your share of the cost depends on your health insurance.

  • Mobile Clinic doctors can order prescriptions that you can pick up at your usual pharmacy.

  • Our Mobile Clinic has two exam rooms and an expert care team on board who offer physical exams, lab services, pap smears, vaccinations, test result counseling, and care for basic health concerns such as colds, pain, headache, rash, insomnia, stress and more.

  • If you have questions about Mobile Clinic charges, bills or statements call (877) 252-1777 Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm PST.

  • No, you don’t need to change your PAMF primary care doctor. We will let your doctor know about any care you receive through our Mobile Clinic team. You can also get overdue lab tests and vaccines recommended by your primary care doctor on board our mobile clinic.

  • No, all healthcare visits in the Mobile Clinic are completely private and confidential.
